1T′-MoTe2 and 2H-MoTe2 by XPS

چکیده

Two different phases of the transition-metal dichalcogenide and molybdenum ditelluride (1T′-MoTe2 2H-MoTe2) were grown by chemical vapor transport. Oxygen-free surfaces generated exfoliation in air then analyzed x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. High-resolution core valence Auger spectra acquired for both materials including Te 3d, 4d, MNN, Mo band spectra. Differences 3d peak positions that previously reported confirmed, asymmetry on metallic 1T′-phase was documented could prove useful identifying mixtures these materials.

Synthesis of High-Quality Large-Area Homogenous 1T' MoTe2 from Chemical Vapor Deposition.

High-quality large-area few-layer 1T' MoTe2 films with high homogeneity are synthesized by the controlled tellurization of MoO3 film. The Mo precursor plays a key role in determining the quality and morphology of the 1T' MoTe2 . Furthermore, the amount of Te strongly influences the phase of the MoTe2 . The growth method paves the way toward the scalable production of 1T' MoTe2 -based applications.
